Founded and run by Lina Rickardsson in Sweden, Pappelina creates and develops products that combine modern design with functionality. The defining product in the range is the plastic rug. In Sweden, rugs have always been a popular feature in the home, providing comfort and warmth. Sweden has a long and proud tradition of carpet-making. And Pappelina has added new shapes, new colours and, above all, a new material: plastic. Yet the weaving technique remains traditional, having originated in 1948 and perfected in 1999.  Pappelina's rugs have long been a success story in Sweden and are now available in many other countries around the world.
