The night is calm and quiet. In the moonlight, everything is still: the water of the lake, the clouds, the grass and the leaves of the trees. Only two birds fly to new horizons, illuminated, revealed by the moon whose light gives body to all the elements of this nocturnal postcard. The beautiful reflection in the lake draws a path to the mountain from the background. This soothing panoramic wallpaper, worn by blue and a game of chiaroscuro, definitely invites to dream. Au Clair de Lune is a four-handed musical tale created in 1892 by the composer and companion of Marcel Proust, Reynaldo Hahn, and by the illustrator Louis Montégut, cousin of Alphonse Daudet, and prefaced by the latter. This work composed of 11 small pieces of music, tells a classic story of two young lovers who meet to confess their love. However they fail, constantly disturbed by the external elements - the setting sun, the moon, the bell of the angelus, the owl, the stream, the glowing worm, the lily, the nettles and the wind. It is presented here in its blue and green version.
